A: Yes, integrating your Edge POS with your Shopify store website is feasible using the EdgeECon app. However, it's important to note that there are specific requirements and steps involved in this process. For a successful integration, please refer to the detailed Edge Shopify integration instructions provided by Edge.
A: For assistance with installing the Edge POS – ECon app on your Shopify store website, please reach out to your Edge sales representative. They will coordinate with their integration team to ensure the app is properly installed on your Shopify website.
A: Yes, the Edge ECon app comes with separate setup and monthly maintenance fees. These charges are levied by Edge. For detailed information regarding these fees, please get in touch with your Edge sales representative.
A: While the integration itself can be uninstalled, it's important to note that any alterations it has made to your store's website during the integration process are permanent and cannot be reversed.
A: Key details such as the Web Title, Web Description, Product Type, Collections, and Tags are synchronized bi-directionally between Edge and Shopify. This means changes made in either platform will be updated in the other. However, it's strongly recommended to use Edge as the primary source for updates.
A: To achieve proper organization and display of products within specific categories or collections on the website, Avalon team will take charge of creating distinct collections or categories based on your needs. Following this, we will meticulously assign the appropriate products to these designated collections or categories, ensuring a streamlined and coherent presentation on the website.
A: No, the Edge POS app functions independently, and therefore, the product information on the website, including images from JewelExchange supplier feeds, cannot be merged with the product information from Edge POS.
A: Yes, you can add product images on your Shopify website. However, we strongly advise managing all images via Edge for consistency and integration purposes. Within the ECon app, there is an option to determine if Edge should overwrite Shopify product images.
If this feature is enabled, Edge will take full control of image management. During synchronization, any images added directly through Shopify will be replaced by those from Edge.
If you choose to disable this feature, Edge will upload its images only during the initial item upload. Subsequent image changes made in Edge will not be updated on Shopify. However, this setting ensures that your Shopify images remain unaffected and are not deleted by the system.
A: Currently, the Edge Econ app does not support the feature of having separate pricing structures for your Shopify website. The app will utilize the item's Retail price as the MSRP. In cases where the Current price of an item is lower than its Retail price, the item will be displayed as being on sale on your Shopify website.
A: The synchronization of products between Edge and Shopify is facilitated by the Edge Connector (ECon) application. After initial setup, you have the option to define the frequency of these synchronizations. By default, the system is configured to synchronize every 15 minutes, ensuring that your website stays updated with the latest product information from Edge.
Please Note: The integration of Edge POS with your Shopify store website is exclusively the responsibility of Edge. Avalon is not involved in the Edge POS integration process.
